RomVault allows you to set DAT rules on auto-created directories that are a result of adding multiple dats to the same directory in the DATRoot. However, if any settings you make are not applied until you force refresh all DATs.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Setup a new RomVault instance

  2. Add two different dats with unique names in their headers into a folder in your DATRoot

  3. Load RomVault

  4. Refresh DATs

  5. Set a DAT rule on one of the two DATs and change the archive type from Zip to File

  6. Hit Apply to save the rule

  7. After the DAT rule window closes, you should notice that the icons for the set type in the game list grid did not update properly. The DAT Rule did was not properly applied.

  8. Force refresh all DATs

  9. Notice the set type icon updates to a folder indicating the rule was applied properly.

Expected behavior:

  • DAT rules on auto-created directories are applied properly without needing to force refresh all DATs

The about 9 steps work correctly, so believe this is no longer an issue, and will soon mark this bug as closed.
