MAME ROMs can be merged in multiple ways. Currently RomVault supports Split, Merged, and Non-Merged options that mirror the results of the various Pleasuredome MAME DATs. However, these options are not comprehensive. To achieve merge option parity with ClrMamePro and Sabretools the following merge options should be made available, particularly for MAME listxml based DATs:
Split - Supported already
Merged - Current behavior is actually "Full Merged" so this should be renamed. A new "Merged" method should be created. See below.
Full Merged - This is the current "Merged" method, so it should be renamed to "Full Merged"
Full Non-Merged - Supported already
Device Non-Merged - See below.
